CHILDREN: HOW IMPORTANT ARE THEY IN THE WORLD

Dr. Jose Rizal once said, “Kabataan ang pagasa ng Bayan” in which it is translated in English, “Our young children are our country’s only hope”

Children are the ones who are essential for deciding how the world is going to be after some years. So as early as at a young age, parents should raise their children with a positive discipline. So that children will be more responsible especially with their studies.

Nowadays, young children, reffered as millenials are prone to social media which is a big factor for being irrresopinsible. Because of the things they are seeing in the internet, some of the children are badly influenced like they are involved with some crimes. But if only their parents raise them properly and guide them as they grow then maybe there is at least a slightest hope that their future will be at a good hand and a bright future for the society they live in.

Article 2: Pagbasa: Susi sa Magandang Kinabukasan

Reading, writing and speaking is this month's theme all about. For this month's theme is talking about the importance of reading and writing being a key to a good future.

It is true that without reading and writing as our skills, we wouldn't have any basic communicating skills today. We won't be able to communicate to the fullest because of us not having the simple skills of reading and writing we are limited in terms of communicating with others.

Learning to reading to writing and to communicating. Without these things taught to us by our parents at a young age, we wouldn't have any enough knowledge. But by being taught we are benefited by gaining knowledge, memory improvement, stronger analytical skills, improve focus and concentration.

Importance of Math and Science

Everyone knows that the subjects Math and Science are hard. But Math is important to us all even after we graduate from school because is not just restricted to problem solving. The real benefit of math is how it trains the brain to think critically and practice various techniques to solve a problem. Science is also important  because it helps in building a strong foundation of concepts that support the learning ability of a child throughout his / her academic life. It helps in understanding key concepts of science and enables them to understand more abstract ideas as well.

So when you encounter the unexpected, when you arrive at a solution that doesn’t make intuitive sense, you’ve got two options: Either you figure that your intuition is bad and derive the corollary that you’re bad at math and science. Or you realize that the world is so magnificently complex that intuition is not the best tool to understand how it all works. I think a lot of people opt for the former, but there is joy in accepting the latter.

Filipino's Capabilities to Adjust through Misfortunes

The Philippines is one of the most disaster-prone countries in the world. Because of it's location, near the large Pacific Ocean Region where many of of the volcanic eruptions occur (The Ring of Fire). It is also in a weather pathway near the equator known as the "typhoon belt".

Yearly, atleast 20 typhoons hit our poor country. Because the Western Pacific Ocean region where typhoons are formed is located at the East of the Philippines. Just last month, a state of calamity has been declared in several provinces in Northern Philippines, including Manila after the non-stop rain.

The continuous rain brought by two successive typhoons affected some areas and shut down some Educational Institutions and Government Offices. Some town had evacuated to temporary shelters.
Filipinos are nothing if not resilient in their time at calamities. Over the years, our Government has learned their lessons on how to respond and be prepared on any natural disaster.

The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) together with Department of Social Welfare and Development and some government agencies work together to help Filipinos at anytime in need.

Maybe or not probably, it is the Filipino's sense of humor that is always on it's height while experiencing a disaster. They like to make fun out of themselves while in the middle of it.

Citizens who belong to the work force do their very best to be on their respective jobs no matter how long it takes and how hard it seems to be.

Well, no amount of words can express how Filipinos look at calamities and disasters at a different perspective. They have accepted that calamities come and go. What matters most is how they make something good out of them. Resilience is a character that Filipinos are very proud of: being hopeful, happy, and positive while experiencing unfavorable and hard situations such as calamities.
